Twin Dome Mine & Twin Dome Extension
in mining friendly Pershing County, NV in the illustrious Sierra Mining District. The Sierra District is known for it's rich placer deposits and high grade lode mines dotting the East Range. The gold in this district is very pure for Nevada standards and can run up to 22 carat. The Twin Dome Mine was mined mainly for gold, with free milling gold located in near surface veins in limonite. Gold at the Twin Dome is found in and near the limonite which was clearly noticed when surveying the mine. Numerous surface veins are exposed on the claims and in the adit near surface. This would make an awesome mine for someone that just wants to dig with heavy equipment without going underground. On the Twin Dome Mine is an adit that we opened back up running just 10-15 feet below the surface. The adit runs north approx. 150 feet before turning northwest for 60 feet. An old ore shoot remains in the back of the adit coming from a glory hole near at the surface. Veins observed run from a few inches in thickness to 12 feet. On the Twin Dome Extension the veins run in a northeast direction. Several large surface outcroppings are located on this claim as seen in our pictures. A short incline adit is found on the Twin Dome Extension which as far as I could tell goes down 40 feet and may have off shoots from there. On the Twin Dome Mine claims are several dozer cuts, pits, 2 adits and some shallow shafts. The new owner will become our neighbors as our placer mine is located just 3 miles from the claims. We maintain the road in from Highway 80 for 12 miles so access is a breeze. You can reach the claims with 2 wheel drive vehicles much of the year. Good Verizon service is also available on the claims. Located in a very secluded area yet only 30 miles from Winnemucca and 12 miles to Mill City.
Within Mill City you can find awesome food and supplies at the Star Point Trading Post and the TA truck stop which has a small casino/bar, taco bell, laundromat, showers, mechanic shop and much more.
Remember dredging and high banking are legal in NV as well as BLM exploration permits within 30 days allowing for occupancy on your claim and the use of heavy equipment.
