    Lake Mohave Ranchos:
Large, unique Joshua trees can be seen throughout these subdivisions of Lake Mohave Ranchos. The trees start at 13th Street and extend 5 miles to 23rd Street. Each subdivision is square with one mile each side. Between each subdivision is set aside one mile square of government land giving the area a checkerboard appearance and creating a lot of wide open spaces. Lake Mohave Ranchos was subdivided years ago into one acre lots. Each unit contains about 480 one acre lots. There are over 20 different units of Lake Mohave Ranchos. Fourteen of the units are found in the Joshua tree area from 13th St. to 23rd St.
Some lots have city water available. Others you haul your own water or have it delivered. The scenery is spectacular with colorful mountains. The Cerbat Mountain Range can be seen in the East, Table Mountain in the North and the Black Mountains to the South. Much of the terrain is level to gently rolling hills with mature Joshua trees over 20′ high. The landscaping is natural and easy to take care of. With the setting of the sun the mountains change colors. At night you can see the red glow of Las Vegas in the western sky. Millions of bright stars light up the evening sky and sometimes you can see the milky way. The area is becoming more popular for amateur astronomers to take a short drive out of the light pollution of Las Vegas to see the stars and distant planets in our clear uninterrupted skies.
All lots are at least an acre in size except for the downtown area which are quarter acres or more. Septic tanks are used throughout the area, there is no sewer system. We have lots with power & phone available and many with water. You can have horses and other animals on these lots.

The climate is mild with summer highs are generally in the 90s an the air is dry while winter lows of 40 to 60. The
    e
venings are cool and comfortable. Every so often there will be a dusting of snow yet, it melts quickly due to the strength of the desert sun. Plant life depends on the fair amount of rainfall that side of the lake gets however its seasonal as most locations in the United States.
There are a wide variety of animals including wild horses, burros, bulls, cougars, bobcats, deer, coyotes, deer, big horn sheep, cottontail and jackrabbits, quail, road runners, snakes, lizards, and yes, jackalopes. Some are hard to spot but they’re there. In the coves or on the cliffs that line the lake, you could see the majestic desert bighorn sheep. Local rams are sturdy animals carrying massive curved horns and sometimes have large harems of ewes with their young.
The wild burros, descendants of those left behind by old prospectors, drink at the water's edge, as do cougars, bobcats and coyotes. Few nights pass without a serenade from a family of coyotes, badgers, cottontails, and the wily black-eared jackrabbit, and deer can be found within the park boundaries. Antelope are quite rare, but are seen occasionally.
Bird watchers can find over 250 species of birds ranging from five kinds of hummingbirds to osprey, golden eagles, and bald eagles. There are 60 species of waterfowl including ducks, herons, brown pelicans, geese, coots, terns, and the small swan like billed grebe songbirds, owls, hawks, ravens and turkey vultures are regular visitors to the area. HEMP uses (including CBD OILS)
Think of the possibility of growing hemp plants here!
They are highly useful and a wonderful cash crop!
According to Nemadji.com it is conceivable to plant up to 2500 plants per acres!
    Spacing For Hemp Plants
    According to the
    Successful Farming
article, "What Farmers Need to Know About Growing Hemp"
Hemp farming is done at a rate of “1,000 to 1,600 plants per acre,” which are, “planted and tended to as separate plants.” So, if you’re looking to grow a crop of CBD oil producing hemp plants, you’ll need to consider spacing for hemp plants since there’s labor with tending between the rows of plants and crowding can create additional time, costs. Generally when spacing for hemp plants you want to give them a good three to five feet because these plants are very particular about spacing and how much sunlight they get. Anecdotal information from experienced
farmers suggest 2,000 to 2,500 plants per acre
    may be achievable.
    Industrial Hemp
On the flip side, industrial hemp is “grown for mass-market products such as textiles and bioplastics,” and this traditional hemp, “has a planting rate of 400,000 per acre (roughly 100 plants/square meter), and is drilled in like wheat”.
Michael Bowman, the founder of the National Hemp Association, went on to describe the plant, “It [industrial hemp] grows tall and you harvest the tops for seed production and then use the stalk for a number of industrial purposes”.
CBD Oil or Industrial Hemp Products?
Many articles have mentioned that the industrial hemp market will be dominated by foreign producers, like China, and that hemp grown for CBD oil production will be the more lucrative route for farmers to take in the USA.
The market differences, between industrial hemp and CBD hemp, are echoed in the article, "Hemp can be lucrative, but there are drawbacks,"
which quotes National Hemp Association board member, Alex Seleznov:
“Prices for hemp fiber and seed will be competing with foreign producers, mainly China… Fiber and seed producers want a production mill within 30 miles of where the hemp is grown, and that’s just not feasible in this country”
    .
The article goes on to point out that:
“That leaves CBD,” Seleznov said “and that means a different kind of farming. While seed and fiber hemp plants can be grown close together and harvested with most traditional equipment, CBD-producing plants, much like their THC-producing cousins, have to be planted at wider intervals and have to be harvested by hand”
    .
CBD Hemp Farming – Give it Some Space
The main difference between hemp farming for CBD oil and traditional hemp for mass market products comes down to
    spacing
: CBD hemp plants need space (only 1,000 to 1,600 plants per acre) so they can grow and bush out to foster more bountiful flower yields.
Traditional, industrial hemp requires tall stalks in order to be profitable so they’re planted close together at a rate of 400,000 per acre to get longer stalks (crowded plants will grow tall and skinny to reach for the sun).
    OR
If you are into the other related cash crop, imagine the agricultural uses for 1.05 acres and consider the formula below:
To start off we will assume a low estimate on corn: 20,000 plants per acre @ 36 in. (3ft) spacing per row. So for kush cash crops we will half that number to
    10,000 plants per acre
@ 72 in. (6 ft) spacing per row. So, how many bushels per acre of kush cash crops?
    ·
    32 lbs per bushel
    ·
    16 oz. per pound
    ·
    # of oz per plant = 1
    ·
    # of plants per acre = 8,500 plants
    ·
    # of lbs per acre = 625 lbs.
    ·
    bushels per acre = 19.53
Imagine a cash crop of one thousand per pound with the above information. By the way, that information was found at theweedbusiness.com so you may verify it.
